A Very ANDERSON Holiday

Hey there friends!   Well, we have been really really busy this holiday season at ANDERSON and we really wanted to send out a fun video greeting card.  I worked with the very talented Laurie SantaLucia and Lauren Streiff to make a funny little short about the holidays in a small office.  We didn't have very much time to make the whole thing so it was a quite intense couple of weeks.  Basically the whole production from script to finished video took around 2 weeks to complete.  The script was 12 pages and after editing the final video ended at just over 5 minutes.

Written by Lauren Streiff and Laurie SantaLucia.  Directed and Edited by me, and Produced by ANDERSON.  Also a huge thanks to our fantastic micro crew, which was basically Brett Dellandre.  He hustled like crazy to shoot 12 pages in less than 2 days, all of which was inside a very distracting office, with none of the props/sets quite ready before the shoot.

All Challenges aside, this was a really fun project to work on and be apart of.  We had the opportunity to shoot on the ARRI Alexa, (which by the way is an amazing camera, and totally worth using for so many reasons) and got to do a fun project to wrap up the year.  Hopefully you guys will enjoy watching it if you can spare 5 minutes.  Thanks for visiting.

Skylos Promo Image

Here is another image to help promote my new movie Skylos.  As soon as my buddies and I finish our Lost in Atlantis video I am jumping full swing on this project.  It will likely take around 6 months to fully complete, but only with working on it as much as possible. At least 3 hours a day considering I also work full time.  As I finish elements of the film I will upload them as sort of "making-of" materials.

I never tend to draw myself as anything but goofy, and these are no different.  I love coffee, especially when I work, and I tend to lumber around the office, kinda like a caveman.  That is certainly how I feel today.

Hey there friends.  I was serving as a Temp 1st AD for a promotional trailer (soon to be a full length feature) shoot that we did in and around Camp Verde in Northern Arizona.  AMAZING countryside.  Anyway, we had some fun.  It was a really laid back day and I got some fun shots.  Shot with my Canon 7D and Kit Lens 28-135mm.  Enjoy.

Desert Schools "Member" Spot.

This was an interesting spot we just finished at the agency.  Originally my friend and old Creative Director Jason Gonzalez sat down with me and hammered out a really fun idea that never saw the light of day.

Ultimately I was just given a script and a VO from the client and I had to turnaround a 30 second spot in around 3 days.  I did it though, and what you see is the result.  It was actually a fun spot to put together even though we had to shift ideas.  Thanks for watching.   :)

Stomach Aliens

So around the office we had a joke that each one of us had a unique stomach alien that devours our food and makes us hungry.  My alien is named Margret.  She eats anything and loves spicy food.  She is generally very happy but can be grumpy from time to time.

I really liked this drawing and I am thinking of making a version of her in 3D as a digital sculpt.

So That Happened...

Here is a self portrait sketch I did today.  I guess to voice my frustrations with having so much to do and never enough time.  If I could do it over I would probably adjust the eyes to look more like they are sitting properly in perspective, but it was a fun drawing either way.  Thanks for viewing. :D

Sun Devil Checking

Here is a 15 second spot I did for Desert Schools at the agency.  ASU just got some new branding and they wanted to capitalize on the opportunity to design some new debit cards.  I took their design, built a 3D card in maya, and animated the rest in After Effects.

This 15 Second spot is to advertise the new Sun Devil Check card, available at Desert Schools. ASU did a redesign so Desert Schools wanted to change up their old card look.

U Fest 2011 Photo Dump
